Yo soy fridgid.
I am one of the creators of the OpenRDX project. I started the initial site, forums and wiki. I've been using RDX for quite a while (RDX4 or 3 not sure which it was.) I first saw RDX back when it was still using the syncmaster/client model for things like UBRS. I didn't use it very long. My home server (Eredar) is the same that was once the home to Venificus. Thats actually how I came to hear about RDX. RDX used to be given to only a few raid groups which was leaked after a raid group split up. (Think I got mine from valor website.)
I started out with Fridgid on Eredar. I played a mage to 60 spent a bit of time looking for guilds and landed on Eredar's Elite and was an officer shortly thereafter. We did MC and sucked hardcore but at least it was stressful and draining. After EE imploded I was guildless for a bit and did what I usually do after leaving a big guild. Make an alt. Soulless was born and leveled to 60 and became my main for a bit. After searching for guilds I decided I wanted to raid hardcore and app'd into SoD. I got in for maybe two weeks before being kicked over little shit and because I was friends with some really really dumb people. I don't hate SoD for kicking me, I am a douche at times and was in the wrong crowd to make it in a guild with that much politics. About this time RDX5 was leaked by a member from SoD (on of the guys I hung out with, makes you wonder why I was kicked lol.) I played around with RDX5 and was immediately hooked. At this point in time RDX5 was able to make decisions for you so you could make a list or to and just click the same spot and always heal a person who needed it. After getting kicked from SoD and quitting wow for the 120523475th time I decided to take a break from Eredar and I rolled onto a server where some RL friends played (Lightning's Blade.)
Big coincidence that this server happened to be in Eredar's battle group and I could kill my alliance friends. So Warped was born and I level him to 59 and then quit the game once again. Upon returning five or six days later I came back to Eredar to play with some casual friends and catch up. Still being in my guildless funk I started a druid as I thought they were a neat class. I began to level him and really enjoyed it. About the time I reached 60 Silithus was itemized and revamped and the Scarab Wall had just begin opening so there a flood of activity. I had also really gotten into wall-walking while leveling and had become pretty good at it. While in Hyjal exploring new heights I saw an AQ20 group looking for a poison cleanser. I got on my druid and ran my first AQ20 as a ghetto-cleanse bot for Ardent Fury. They hated me. I was a horrible horrible druid at that point, but luckily I was able to somehow convince the GM that I didn't blow ass. Few months later I'm raiding full time with AF. {eight months later} I'm an officer in Ardent Fury and I maintain a raid package for them AF_Raid.
I'm a resident developer of the OpenRDX project and used to author a custom layout for Nurfed ui called FridgidFrames.
I run www.fridgid.com, [1], and [2] and I'm generally considered a 'moderately funny' asshole by my friends.
